Giving thanks for OKC investment
Last week, many people gathered with friends and family, giving thanks. Now that the food is put away and people have returned home and to work, I want to extend the spirit of Thanksgiving by expressing gratitude for some of the people and partnerships that make our city successful.
I am thankful for the leadership and commitment of my staff at the Alliance for Economic Development. The organization was formed in 2011 to better coordinate incentives and economic tools that make Oklahoma City attractive to companies and developers. The Alliance for Economic Development also manages several economic entities, such as the Oklahoma City Urban Renewal Authority and Oklahoma City Redevelopment Authority. The staff coordinates resources, plans and paperwork among multiple public and private entities, developers, businesses, city departments, neighborhoods and community groups, to create and streamline the best possible support and outcomes for projects.
