A lot that previously sat empty for decades will soon serve as a connection between three major districts near downtown OKC. Alley North broke ground at the crossroads of Automobile Alley, Midtown, and the Innovation District. It is a forward-thinking urban development that utilizes space strategically and efficiently to bolster quality of life and economic resilience, helping to ensure that Oklahoma City remains competitive, livable, and full of opportunity.
The Alley North development is a long-envisioned mixed-use project led by local firm Pivot Real Estate. It will transform the vacant stretch at NW 13th and Broadway into a vibrant, mixed-use destination. The Alliance for Economic Development of OKC is proud to have supported the project through the strategic inclusion of this site in a Tax Increment Finance (TIF) district, which helped get the project off the ground, facilitating additional public-private investment. Alley North will provide new housing, hundreds of jobs in diverse fields, increased tax revenue, and greater connectivity across downtown. Upon completion, Alley North will offer housing, retail, office, and hospitality.
The economic implications are significant. Alley North will generate hundreds of construction and permanent jobs, support small businesses, expand downtown's housing options, and activate a once-underutilized site. With its emphasis on community spaces and long-term adaptability, the project is a reflection of modern development grounded in sustainability, regional identity, and inclusive growth.
