Preserving a future for a Western gem
This month, we kick off the planning process for one of Oklahoma City’s earliest areas of commerce and what is, even today, one of our most unique business districts. Working closely with the Oklahoma City Planning Department and Stockyard City Main Street, we will create a district master plan for Historic Stockyard City to promote economic vitality, preserve local historic character and help guide and shape this area for generations to come. Council funds program to help performance venues
The Oklahoma City Council on Tuesday approved $7 million of additional funding from the federal CARES Act for the Oklahoma City Small Business Continuity Program. The funding includes $5 million for qualified applications already received from businesses and nonprofits and $2 million for a new program to help live performance venues. The second phase of the SBCP program created a large response, with 586 applications for the reimbursement program for payroll or lost revenue,

More progress on landmarks
The people who inhabited a building, along with the stories of what they accomplished inside that building, are what make a structure truly special over time.
