The Oklahoma City Urban Renewal Authority (OCURA) is the city's primary public redevelopment agency, empowered by state law with financial tools and legal authority under the Oklahoma Urban Redevelopment Law and the Oklahoma Local Development Act. Governed by a mayor-appointed, council-confirmed board, OCURA’s mission is to act as a catalyst for public and private redevelopment that supports community development, strengthens neighborhoods, and promotes economic growth throughout Oklahoma City.
Available properties and redevelopment projects are awarded via requests for proposals (RFPs) or requests for qualifications (RFQs). OCURA is key to improving quality of life in OKC through strategic, high quality development that seeks to meet residents' needs.
