October 14 is your opportunity to impact Oklahoma City by voting in the special election for the 2025 General Obligation (GO) Bond. The bond includes $2.7 billion to fund 547 projects across the city. The projects included are vital to keep up with our fast-growing economy and ensure we put our best foot forward as the city garners more national, even international attention.

I implore you to make a plan to vote next Tuesday, and mark this important election date on your calendars now.

The GO bond includes 11 propositions to improve infrastructure and enhance community development. Over 75% of the projects included are critical infrastructure updates necessary for OKC's basic community needs. From updating streets and bridges to providing funding for additional citywide economic development and affordable housing programs, the bond encompasses a wide variety of projects and programs that will directly benefit the city. The selected projects are intended to both promote Oklahoma City's health and safety and will have a positive impact on the entire city, while aligning with other citywide programs like MAPS 4 to maximize the positive benefits for residents.

If the bond proposition passes, residents' property taxes will not rise. The average rate will remain at that same service level, so residents do not have to worry about increased taxes to fund these projects.

The 2025 bond package is about investing in ourselves; the $2.7 billion package will be a direct investment into our local economy and set the city on the path toward economic growth and community prosperity.
